At Lucas Oak Frames we can design your frame for you and produce 2D working drawings and 3D CAD drawings. The design, drawings and construction can all be offered as separate services or as a complete package.

This shows the full set of working/construction drawings for a previous project, a barn roof with a mezzanine deck.  The design process begins with a meeting with the client to discuss their vision of the build.  Once a design idea has been agreed, I will then produce a 3D design of the project. When the client has agreed on the 3D design, I will survey the site and adjust the 3D to suit. The next step is to pull each element from the 3D and convert them into 2D construction drawings and to produce specific joint details for complex areas of the frame. On completion, if necessary, the drawings can then be sent off to the structural engineer to be checked before a final cut list can be created and ordered.
